AEPYTRAM
This organization was constituted in 1992 and it gathers the main manufacturers of wood posts specifically used for processing the wood throughout “autoclave”.

AFEMMA
Spanish Manufacturers of Wood Machinery Association (tools, equipment and products). It provides, at international level, Spanish production of equipment and goods for the wood industry. The association is made up of 92 companies that assume 95% of the Spanish exports within the sector. These companies often participate in international fairs such as the ones in Hannover, Milan, Valencia, Atlanta, Singapur, etc.

AITIM
AITIM, acronym of Wood and Cork Industries Research Association , is a private non for profit association founded in April 6th, 1962 by a group of companies and technicians within the wood sector. Its main activity has a double goal. First of all, to support the industry in technical terms. Second of all, to release its products by favouring its new uses and applications of wood.

ANEPROMA
The National Wood Protection Association, ANEPROMA, dates back as an association to strengthen the sector dedicated to protect the wood. It was constituted in October 1998. It is a non for profit organization that has a field of responsibility at national levels and whose objective is to gather professionals involved in the protection of wood. It also tries to protect the uses of wood in all industrial sectors of the national territory. It was created as an inter professional bond between the different manufacturer and transformer companies entailed in the protection of wood in order to establish a quality control of products aimed to be used in the wood market.

ASERMA
The Spanish Association of Recoverable Wood (ASERMA) was constituted in 1999 and it is in charge of representing, promoting and defending the professional interests of businesses within the Spanish territory. It is devoted to recover and/or marketing the waste wood products. The group of companies that represent ASERMA offer a full-frontal solution to the problem of handling the wood waste. CONFEMADERA
The Spanish Confederation of Wood Businessmen (CONFEMADERA), was constituted in 1977 and named CONEMAC. It is an employer organization in charge of representing, promoting and defending the professional interests of the associations that compound it and to its extent, to all businessmen within the wood sector. CONFEMADERA promotes, defines and develops various activities structured around the following areas:
- Collective Negotiation: The Confederation is the state valid representative with legal authority to negotiate with labour union head offices on wood state agreement.
- Exportation: Throughout a sectorial plan on exportation of wood, financed by ICEX, the promotion of our products is carried out overseas. This is also done by participating in international fairs and by organising marketing plans of action.
- Instruction: CONFEMADERA holds the Secretary of the Wood Parity Sector Committee, which sets the basis and gives priority to constant training plans. Therefore, it gives assistance and technical support to the development of training plans promoted by partners. It also boosts all sorts of secondary actions oriented towards the improvement of the human resources sector.
- Institutional function: Due to the degree of fragmentation of this sector, it is essential to have a representative business board entitled to take decisions (ministries, ICEX, labour unions…) This is the role of CONFEMADERA which is associated to the CEOE and is a full member of the European Confederation of Wood Industries (CEI-Bois). It also takes an important part in the Professional Training General Committee and the European Union Forest Consultative Committee.
- I+D and Quality: The certification on the quality of products is becoming an essential requirement when it comes to exporting. To obtain the maximum competitiveness of companies and to eliminate export barriers, the Confederation is supported by the Technological Institutes of Wood (AIDIMA, CETEM y AIMCM). It is also a member of the Spanish Association of Normalization.(AENOR).
- National Forest Strategy: CONFEMADERA acts as the sector interlocutor in the talks carried out by the Environmental Ministry in order to reach a consensus in the forest management policy.
- Environment: The Confederation promotes and develops initiatives focused on the solution to waste production problems by encouraging the companies to introduce systems of environmental management. The Industrial Eco-container Confederation is in charge of the collection of containers and its following treatment . Thus, it is responsible for the collection of hazardous and toxic waste.
- Other performances shaped up to the updating of the wood industry are: prevention of work-related accidents, safety and hygiene.
